The Story
Kavi Rana immigrated from Nepal at 6 years old. She studied environmental science at the University of Washington. After graduating, she served in AmeriCorp's Washington Conservation Corp practicing plant restoration and fisheries conservation.
Following her passions for environmental justice and creating sustainable artistic solutions, she started Kavi Rana Design Company in 2023. She started upcycling thrifted clothes, bedsheets, and curtains to make homeware and accessories.
In 2024, she studied Sustainable Fashion Making at Schola Academy in Florence, Italy.
The journey fully ignited her passion to reduce textile waste, explore her creativity, and empower others to have a conscious relationship with their clothes.
